Karol Lewczuk is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Christian Philosophy of John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (UKSW). His work focuses on psychological mechanisms related to compulsive sexual behavior, problematic pornography use, and cross-cultural validation of assessment tools. He has contributed to the development of diagnostic instruments like the CSBD-DI for Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder and PUMS-8 for pornography use motivations. His research spans epidemiology, psychometrics, and public health implications, with a strong emphasis on cross-cultural studies across 42 countries and 26 languages.
Key areas include sexual health, addiction studies, emotion regulation, and open science practices. His studies analyze relationships between attachment insecurity, minority stress, and compulsive behaviors.
