Karine SALIN

Karine SALIN is a Research Fellow in Ecophysiology and Energy Metabolism at Ifremer, assigned to the LEMAR laboratory (Laboratoire des Sciences de l'Environnement Marin). Her research employs integrative approaches from molecular to organismal levels to investigate physiological mechanisms governing life-history trajectories in animals, with emphasis on energy metabolism, oxidative stress, and environmental adaptation.

Her work focuses on uncovering how mitochondrial plasticity mediates responses to environmental changes and drives trade-offs in life-history evolution. She pioneers multidisciplinary approaches combining cutting-edge technologies to advance ecophysiological research in marine systems.
