Professor Karina Wright leads orthopaedic tissue engineering research at Keele University and Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Her lab develops biological therapies for orthopaedic and spinal cord injuries.
Research spans from in vitro models to clinical trials, with focus on bone marrow stromal cell applications. Current projects include 3D bioengineered disease models and reverse translational approaches.
Teaching includes modules in Applied Regenerative Medicine and Bioreactors. Equipment resources include FACS cytometers and live-cell imaging platforms.
