Karina Turmann is a doctoral candidate and researcher affiliated with the Philipps-Universität Marburg. She serves as a research associate in the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 138 'Dynamics of Security', specifically within Subproject C08 focusing on 'Security and Empire'. Previously, she held roles as a lecturer in Department 06 and an honorary assistant at the Chair of Modern History (19th/20th century) under Prof. Benedikt Stuchtey.
Her educational background includes a B.A. (2009–2013) in History, English Studies, and Pharmaceutical History, followed by an M.A. (2013–2016) in History and European Ethnology, both from Philipps-Universität Marburg.
