Karina Clennon

Dr. Karina Clennon serves as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Bethany Lutheran College, where she integrates Christian faith with evidence-based mental health practices. Passionate about addressing real-world struggles through counseling, she emphasizes holistic wellness and tailored therapeutic approaches for diverse populations.

Her research focuses on the intersection of faith and clinical practice, telehealth adaptations in post-pandemic counseling, and evidence-based techniques for thought/behavior modification. She champions the program's hybrid model combining online instruction with three face-to-face residencies to train counselors in both virtual and in-person settings.

Dr. Clennon actively promotes counselor education through faith-integrated frameworks, aiming to produce licensed professionals equipped to address community mental health crises.
