Kateryna Kuzubova

Dr. Kateryna Kuzubova is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Colorado Christian University (CCU), affiliated with the College of Adult and Graduate Studies and the School of Counseling. She is a licensed professional counselor in Massachusetts and Colorado, and she teaches and mentors graduate students in CACREP-accredited programs.

Her research and clinical interests center on adolescent mental health, particularly the prevention of substance use, depression, and high-risk behaviors. She explores the role of forgiveness in teens and is passionate about cross-cultural and international counseling training. Her Ukrainian heritage and experience as an international scholar inform her dedication to supporting Slavic and international students in the U.S. higher education system.

Dr. Kuzubova's recent publications focus on adolescent behavioral health, including studies on forgiveness, depression, computer-facilitated screening for drinking, and opioid treatment outcomes. Her work often involves international collaboration and emphasizes early intervention strategies.

She is actively engaged in professional service, having served on diversity, equity, and inclusion task forces and as a panelist for faith and ethics discussions. She is a member of the American Counselor Association and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and regularly presents at regional and state conferences.

Dr. Kuzubova is committed to mentoring future counselors and integrating faith with ethical, evidence-based practice in counseling education.
