معرفی
Karin Tran Lundmark is an Associate Professor at the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine, Lund University. She is actively involved in cardiovascular research with a focus on pulmonary hypertension, heart transplantation, and vascular biology. Her work spans clinical and molecular studies, contributing to advancements in pediatric cardiology and transplantation outcomes.
- Key affiliations: Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine, Lund University
- Research networks: Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Oslo University Hospital, Copenhagen University Hospital, Helsinki University Central Hospital
Her research interests center on pediatric heart transplantation, cell-free DNA monitoring in graft rejection, and molecular mechanisms of pulmonary hypertension. She explores the role of extracellular matrix proteins like versican in vascular pathology and employs synchrotron-based imaging for cardiovascular pathobiology.
Recent publications highlight trends in pediatric heart transplantation across Scandinavia, graft survival analysis, and innovative applications of droplet digital PCR for donor-derived cell-free DNA quantification. These works bridge clinical practice and molecular diagnostics.
She supervises PhD students, including Michal Odermarsky (2020–2025), and leads projects funded by the Swedish Heart Lung Foundation on synchrotron imaging and proteome profiling in pulmonary hypertension. Collaborations span Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
