Karin Sconzert is a Professor of Education and Director of the Broad Field Social Science Program at Carthage College. She holds a Ph.D. in Administrative, Institutional, and Policy Studies in Education from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in History with a Theatre minor from Lawrence University. Her roles include teaching future secondary teachers, supervising fieldwork for educational studies minors, and leading the Carthage Noyce Scholarship Program (NSF-funded).

Grants include the $1.2 million NSF Noyce grant (2024 completion), which supported science and math teacher training. She also oversees senior theses in the Broad Field Social Sciences Program. Her professional collaborations include work with Prof. Deborah Tobiason and contributions to the Consortium on Chicago School Research.
She has served at institutions like Ursinus College and Loyola University Chicago, and hosts the Wisconsin Public Radio program Education Matters. Her community involvement includes literacy tutoring and roles at the Kenosha Public Library.
