Karin Enstam Jaffe is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Sonoma State University, serving as Interim Associate Dean of the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts since July 2024. She has held multiple administrative roles including Department Chair (2008-2013, 2014-2015) and Coordinator of the Human Development Program (2014-2020).

Selected publications include 15+ peer-reviewed articles in Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science and Zoo Biology, examining topics like social network analysis applications in primate management, habitat structure impacts on anti-predator behavior, and behavioral enrichment effectiveness. Recent work evaluates complex feeding devices for sun bears and social cohesion in baboon troops.
