Amy Schreier is a Professor at Regis College, serving as Director of the Honors Program. She is a behavioral ecologist and biological anthropologist specializing in non-human primate conservation and behavior.
- PhD in Physical Anthropology, City University of New York
- BS in Biology, Cornell University
Her research spans global field studies, including hamadryas baboon societies in Ethiopia and howler monkey behavior in Nicaragua. Current projects focus on forest fragmentation impacts on primates in Costa Rica and animal welfare research at the Denver Zoo.
Students engage in fieldwork with wild primates in Costa Rica or zoo-based studies at Denver Zoo, where she holds a Research Associate position in the Animal Welfare and Research Department.
