Kari Ann Fonte is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, St. Thomas University. She specializes in Immigration Law and Practice, with over 28 years of exclusive practice in this field. Her affiliations include membership in the Florida Bar, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She is fluent in Spanish and holds an AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Education: B.A. in Spanish and Latin American & Caribbean Studies from Florida State University (FSU), followed by a J.D. from FSU College of Law, cum laude.
Research and Professional Contributions: Ms. Fonte is Chair of the Florida Bar’s Board Certification Committee and has held leadership roles in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), including President of the South Florida Chapter and Vice-Chair of AILA National’s USCIS Field Operations Liaison Committee. She frequently speaks at national and local immigration seminars and has authored/co-authored numerous published articles.
Awards: Recognized via AV Rating and Board Certification in Immigration and Nationality Law. She is actively involved in legal advocacy and policy discussions within immigration law.
