Karen P. Fernbach is an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law and Hofstra University School of Law, teaching courses such as Labor Law and Labor & Employment Arbitration. She holds a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law (1977). Since 1977, she has been with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), serving as Regional Director for the Manhattan Region since 2011. In this role, she oversees enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act across six New York counties.
Her professional affiliations include membership in the Labor and Employment Sections of the NYS and NYC Bar Associations, the Advisory Board of the Cornell Institute of Labor Relations, and Executive Board roles at the Labor and Employment Centers of St. John’s and NYU School of Law. She actively lectures on labor and management issues to organizations like the Labor Employment Relations Association and Practicing Law Institute.
