Karen Lindley is a Senior Lecturer in Education Studies at the School of Education and English Language, University of Bedfordshire, since 2016. Previously at the University of Northampton, she brings 18 years of secondary school teaching experience, having risen to Vice Principal in Northamptonshire.
Her educational qualifications include:
- PhD in Education, University of Leicester, 2013
- MBA in Educational Leadership and Management, University of Leicester, 2000
- PGCE, University of Cambridge, 1996
- BA (Joint Hons) French and German, University of Keele, 1995
Her research examines teacher identity during compulsory redeployment and school leadership challenges. She currently investigates the first year of headship experiences for new principals. Teaching spans inclusive curriculum design, research methodology, and leadership development across BA and MA Education programs.
Dr Lindley coordinates the BA Education Studies program and supervises undergraduate/postgraduate dissertations, integrating practitioner insights from her extensive classroom leadership background.
