Karen Becker is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Department of Marketing and Interdisciplinary Business at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business from Lehigh University (1998) and focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR), consumer behavior, and sponsorship effectiveness.

Her research emphasizes Corporate Social Responsibility, exploring consumer responses to CSR initiatives, global marketing strategies, and ethical implications of sponsorship. Recent work highlights CSR communication trends, cross-cultural consumer behavior, and sponsorship fit in branding.
Karen has received the Teaching Excellence Award from TCNJ’s School of Business (2023) and served on committees like the Strategic Planning Committee (2021–2022) and Faculty Senate (2018–2021). She teaches courses such as Business Ethics, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Principles.
Her publications span Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Business Research, with recurring themes in CSR, brand equity, and advertising effectiveness. She currently serves as an Academic Integrity Officer and Adjunct Evaluator at TCNJ.
