Kara Martin is a Lecturer and Supervisor at the School of Education, California State University, Humboldt, with 20 years of experience in education. She began her career as a high school aide and later earned her teaching credential, transitioning into roles as an elementary physical education specialist, high school physical education and health teacher, and AVID elective teacher.
- Graduate of the University of Michigan and National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)
- Contributor to the California Physical Education Framework
- Co-Site Director for the Redwood Physical Education-Health Project
Her research and professional interests focus on physical education, health education, and curriculum development. Kara has played a pivotal role in shaping statewide educational frameworks and mentoring future educators through her work with subject matter projects.
Kara earned her academic foundations from the University of Michigan, National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), and California State University, Humboldt, which inform her practical approach to teacher training and outdoor education.
