Dr. Teisha Struik-Kothe is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Education Department at Hope College. With 19 years of experience as a high school English teacher, she later transitioned to K-12 curriculum leadership and elementary principal roles. Her teaching focuses on literacy education, classroom management, and strategies for diverse student populations.

Her research interests align with her professional expertise in educational leadership, literacy pedagogy, and classroom assessment. She has presented at Big Read Lakeshore workshops (2022-2023) and authored a blog on literary motivation.
Dr. Struik-Kothe supervises Hope College education majors during field placements and maintains active membership in professional organizations including the Michigan Reading Association, National Council of Teachers of English, and Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association.
