She holds an MMATH degree from the University of St Andrews and completed her PhD at Imperial College London in 2023. Currently, she serves as an EPSRC Research Associate in Pure Mathematics and lectures a first-year course. Her research focuses on the intersection of group theory and combinatorics, emphasizing symmetries and counting principles.
She actively contributes to academic life as a Postdoc Representative and co-founder/organizer of the Junior London Algebra Colloquium, a seminar series for PhD students. Kamilla is passionate about promoting women in mathematics through outreach and scholarships panels. Her work emphasizes collaboration, inspired by mathematician Paul Erdős, and she has presented research globally, including visits to New Zealand and Slovenia.
Notable achievements include winning the British Society for the History of Maths Undergraduate Essay Prize for her work on Erdős’s research practices and the Best Student Talk Award at a Slovenian summer school.
