Kamalanathan Sambandam

Dr. Kamalanathan Sambandam is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and member of the Division of Nephrology. He serves as Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program and Medical Director of Renal Clinics at Parkland Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed residency and fellowship training at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

His clinical interests focus on diuretic resistance and non-diabetic glomerular disease. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sambandam joined UT Southwestern in 2008 and maintains membership in the American Society of Nephrology and Texas Medical Association.
