Kalypso Nicolaidis

Kalypso Nicolaidis is a Full-time Professor at the European University Institute's Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG). She holds academic leadership roles, including chairing the EUI Democracy Forum and co-convening initiatives like the Global Peace Tech Hub and the Transnational Democracy Initiative. Her research focuses on European integration, global governance, democratic theory, and post-colonialism, with notable works on Brexit, the Euro crisis, and mutual recognition frameworks.

She teaches courses on transnational politics, responsible negotiation, and EU-Africa relations.
