Kaiqing Wang is an Assistant Professor and Deputy Chair in the Department of Sociology at Jiangsu Normal University. They also served as a Visiting Scholar at the Asia Pacific Center, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), from September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2018.
Their research focuses on the development of rural children in China who are cared for by relatives while their parents work in cities. Key areas of interest include:
