Dr. Kailey Roberts is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. She specializes in bereavement and existential psychotherapy, focusing on psychosocial support for individuals facing life-limiting conditions, caregivers, and the bereaved. Her work emphasizes optimizing therapy through qualitative feedback and addressing sociocultural contexts.
Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research (201?), MA in Clinical Psychology from The New School, and BA from St. Catherine University. She completed clinical training at the Brooklyn VA and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, supported by NCI fellowships.
Research interests include bereavement risk screening, Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy, and palliative care for LGBTQIA+ communities. Her lab, the Grief, Loss, and Meaning Lab, drives interdisciplinary projects such as the Interdisciplinary Online Training in Primary Care Mental Health (NY Foundation for Eldercare Grant).
Awards include the Cornelia Perry Memorial Award (2020) and Catherine Low Memorial Award (2014). Her teaching spans Cognitive Assessment, Personality Assessment, and Multicultural Diversity topics.
Key grants include a 2021 NY Eldercare Grant (as Co-PI) and prior NCI-funded research on bereavement tools. She collaborates on studies addressing bereaved parents and palliative care equity.
