Kai Hauprich

Dr. Kai Hauprich is a Lecturer at Hochschule Düsseldorf in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies. His work focuses on homelessness, poverty, digital inequality, and the Housing First approach in social work.

His educational background includes a PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen with a dissertation on "Mobile phone and internet use by people living on the street in North Rhine-Westphalia and their benefits in their particular living conditions" (2021).

Dr. Hauprich's research interests span across several critical areas in social work and social policy. He specializes in:

Outside his academic role, Dr. Hauprich is actively involved in practical social work as Project Manager and social worker at "Housing First Cologne" of Vringstreff eV, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Association Housing First eV, and Advisory Board Member for Social Work of the Interdisciplinary Study Society eV.
