معرفی
Prof. Dr. Kai Bischof is a faculty member at the University of Bremen, holding the Chair of Marine Botany since 2006. His research focuses on the ecophysiology of marine algae and seagrass, particularly their responses to abiotic stress and high light conditions.
- Deputy Director, MARUM Center for Marine Environmental Sciences (2024-present)
- Coordinator, EU H2020 FACE-IT project (2020-present)
- Chair, Kongsfjord Ecosystem program (2014-2020)
- Professor for Marine Botany, University of Bremen (2006-present)
- Head of Junior Research Group 'Polar Algae', University of Kiel & Alfred Wegener Institute (2004-2007)
Research Interests:
• Ecophysiology of marine algae and seagrass
• Photosynthetic stress responses and reactive oxygen species dynamics
• Bioinvasion mechanisms and climate-driven range expansion
• Comparative studies across polar, temperate, and tropical algae
