Kaelyn Leake is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at The Citadel's Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Cruz and undergraduate degrees in Engineering Science and Physics from Sweet Briar College.
Her research spans photonics, electronics, material science, and microfluidics, with focus on developing low-cost scientific instruments and nanofabrication techniques. She mentors students in designing microcontroller-based environmental sensors and robotics systems.
Dr. Leake's recent publications demonstrate innovations in automated nanofilm patterning, laser-based material modification, and optofluidic systems for biomedical applications.
