Kaarina Vieru

Kaarina Vieru serves as a Junior Researcher at LUT University's LUT Business School, Department of Business Studies, a position she has held since September 2021 while concurrently pursuing her doctoral degree. Her academic focus bridges international business, entrepreneurship, and marketing within geographically constrained contexts.

Her research program critically examines entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized towns, analyzing how macro-level challenges, digital transformation, and innovation reshape local entrepreneurial ecosystems. Key investigation areas include:
