Dr. Ka Wong is a Professor of Asian Studies and Director of Asian Conversations at St. Olaf College. His office is located in Tomson Hall 351, and he can be reached at wongk@stolaf.edu. Office hours for Spring 2025 are Tuesdays 1:30–2:30 PM and Thursdays 2:30–3:30 PM, with additional availability by appointment.

- M.A. in Thai Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
Research Interests:
Dr. Wong explores the intersections of individual identity and cultural discourse through diverse lenses, including language pedagogy, film, literature, visual culture, and Asian American studies. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, emphasizing transnational and multicultural perspectives.
Grants & Funding:
He has secured notable grants from organizations such as the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM), ASIANetwork, Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), and the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS).
Publications:
Dr. Wong has authored four books, including his most recent work *Enmity and Empathy: Japanese Americans in Minnesota During World War II* (2025), alongside numerous journal articles and book chapters. His scholarship addresses themes of cultural memory, identity politics, and sociohistorical narratives.
