KRALIDIS APOSTOLOS is a Professor at the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research focuses on the History of Religions, particularly Greco-Roman traditions, Late Antiquity, Southeastern Europe, the Black Sea region, Byzantium, and Early Islamic interactions. He holds office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Theological Building, Room 315, and can be contacted at akralid@past.auth.gr.
Research Interests span interdisciplinary studies of ancient and medieval religious practices, including
- Greco-Roman Imperial Cults
- Byzantine-Pagan Interactions
- Khazar-Bizantine Relations
- Scythian and Central Asian Belief Systems
- Egyptian Cults in the Mediterranean
- Christianization of Southeastern Europe
Selected Publications highlight themes such as religious syncretism, imperial theology, and cross-cultural exchanges, with a focus on the Black Sea and Balkan regions between antiquity and the medieval period.
