Hakim KAROUI serves as a Senior Lecturer at Aix-Marseille University, affiliated with the Structure and Reactivity of Paramagnetic Species (SREP) Team. His work spans research in Electron Paramagnetic Resonance spectroscopy and teaching across the Saint Charles and Saint Jérôme campuses.
Dr. KAROUI's research focuses on radical species characterization via EPR spectroscopy, with current projects including:
- Physicochemical analysis of novel polarization agents for Dynamic Nuclear Polarization
- Characterization of Host-Guest complexes using cucurbituril-type macromolecules and guest molecules (nitroxides, binitroxides, viologens)
- Industrial collaborations with Michelin and NAOS on applied spectroscopy contracts
Teaching responsibilities encompass organic chemistry instruction for Bachelor's students (including CTES practical work) and advanced EPR spectroscopy courses for Master's level students. His research integrates fundamental paramagnetic studies with industrial applications through the SREP Team's infrastructure across multiple university campuses.
