معرفی
Dr. Jędrzej Majewski is an Associate Professor at Adam Mickiewicz University, specializing in climate change and coastal geohazards research. As Principal Investigator of the PALEOSUMA project, he focuses on sea level change, tsunamis, and their impacts on tropical coastlines through interdisciplinary proxy records including coral microatolls, sedimentology, and archaeological evidence.
Research Interests:
- Historical and contemporary sea level dynamics
- Tsunami deposit analysis and recurrence patterns
- Coastal community sustainability under climate change
- Relative sea-level reconstruction using biological proxies
- Paleoenvironmental modeling for disaster risk reduction
Publication Trends: Recent works (2018-2025) demonstrate expertise in Holocene sea-level histories, coral microatoll analysis, and tsunami sedimentology across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Key methodologies involve field surveys, geochronology, and climate modeling to assess coastal risks.
Laboratory Affiliation: Member of the Geohazards Research Unit, contributing to interdisciplinary studies that bridge geological hazards with societal impacts.
