Jérôme DUCHEMIN

Jérôme Duchemin serves as an Associate Professor at Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology since September 1, 2008. He is affiliated with the PIMM Laboratory and actively contributes to the DISCO Laser research team, which focuses on advanced laser-based manufacturing methodologies.

Research interests encompass:

• Laser Processing: Development and optimization of industrial laser applications including thermal processes and laser shock techniques
• Materials Science: Investigation of material behavior under laser-induced thermal and mechanical stresses
• Mechanical Engineering: Integration of laser technologies in mechanical system design and manufacturing

His work leverages specialized experimental platforms such as Hephaestus' Laser Shock and Thermal Laser Processes facilities within the PIMM Laboratory. He participates in academic training programs including the Engineering cycle, Research Master's Degree, and Doctorate programs at Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology, contributing to mechanical engineering and materials science education.
