Justin T. Swain serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction in Music at Ohio University, specializing in vocal performance and pedagogy. He teaches courses in applied voice, lyric diction, and vocal essentials while advising the OU Dynamics acapella group. Swain earned dual master's degrees—a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy—from The Ohio State University, where he received the 'Most Outstanding Graduate Associate' award.
His research examines contemporary vocal health, physiological mechanisms of vocal distortions, and modern music pedagogy. He actively bridges classical training with contemporary styles like jazz, pop, and musical theatre through both research and performance.
