Rachelle Fleming is an Associate Professor in Vocal Arts at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, nationally recognized for expertise in contemporary vocal artist training and vocal health. Her academic leadership spans vocal pedagogy, commercial music, and voice science applications.

Dr. Fleming's research bridges classical training with contemporary demands through vocal health science and commercial music pedagogy. Her work examines vocal technique adaptation across genres including musical theatre, jazz, and pop, with publications in the Journal of Singing and Journal of Voice. She has advanced the field through presentations at Pan American Vocology Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and The Voice Foundation conferences.
Her students perform on Broadway, in national tours, at Madison Square Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, and in film. Dr. Fleming actively engages wounded warriors through MusiCorps at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and serves as a sought-after master class clinician internationally.
Professional activities include guest residencies at Aspen Music Festival, NYU-Steinhardt, Polyphony Conservatory in Nazareth, Israel, and Billy Elliot national tour. Her career integrates performance (with Tiempo Libre, Renée Fleming, Fred Hersch), stage direction, artist administration, and television work.
