Justin K. Canfil is an Assistant Professor at the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology (CMIST), Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on the geopolitical implications of emerging technologies, including AI regulation, cybersecurity, and arms control for advanced technologies. He holds a PhD in International Law from Columbia University and has held postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard's Belfer Center and the Columbia-Harvard China and the World Program.
Education: PhD from Columbia University (specializing in International Law via Columbia Law School), Fulbright Scholarship in China (2019-2020).
