Justin Forbes is an Assistant Professor of Religion at Flagler College, serving as Director of the Center for Religion and Culture and faculty advisor for the Youth Ministry program. He holds a PhD in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, alongside degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary.

His research focuses on Youth Ministry practices, Karl Barth’s theology, and developmental trauma theory’s impact on faith communities. He leads initiatives like The Missing Voices research project and teaches courses such as Introduction to Youth Ministry and Pastoral Counseling.
Justin previously spent a decade in youth ministry, building teams across diverse communities. He co-leads the Youth Ministry Forum and oversees Flagler’s Center for Religion and Culture, which provides resources for religious and cultural dialogue.
