Justin D. Barnard

Justin D. Barnard is a Professor of Philosophy and a member of the Honors Community at Union University, within the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Florida State University and a B.A. from Palm Beach Atlantic College. His research focuses on ethics, biomedical issues, Christian theology, and the philosophy of religion. Key publications include analyses of embryo ethics, C.S. Lewis's contributions to Christian citizenship, and theological explorations of sanctification and purgatory. Barnard’s work bridges philosophical inquiry with religious and ethical dimensions, particularly in contemporary societal contexts.
