JungHae Kim is a Lecturer in Music Theory and Musicianship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). A versatile harpsichordist and pedagogue, she teaches courses such as Undergraduate Musicianship, Score Reading at the Piano, and Keyboard Harmony. Kim earned diplomas in harpsichord performance at the Peabody Institute, Oberlin Conservatory, and Sweelinck Conservatorium before studying with Dutch master Gustav Leonhardt in Amsterdam.

Her research and performance focus on historical keyboard instruments, particularly harpsichord, and she co-directs the Center for Historically Informed Performance (MusicSources). Kim is also founder and artistic director of Ensemble Mirable, which has performed internationally and received recognition for its recordings. Her discography includes albums on Magnatune and Plectra labels, featuring works by Byrd, Frescobaldi, Froberger, d'Anglebert, and Bach.
Kim has been featured on NPR and Korean National Television (KBS), and her collaborations include touring with period-instrument ensembles and partnerships with musicians like Sigiswald Kuijken and Ton Koopman. She advocates for early music education and has taught at festivals worldwide, including the Bloomington Early Music Festival and Assisi Music Festival.
Scientific awards include a scholarship to study in the U.S. and recognition by Early Music America for Ensemble Mirable's recordings. Her interests outside music include downhill skiing, painting, and traveling.
