Dr. June Diana Komisar is a Professor and Associate Chair of Undergraduate Student Affairs in the Department of Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD from the University of Michigan, an MArch from Yale University, and a BA from Clark University. Her expertise spans architectural design, history and theory of architecture, and urban agriculture integration. She teaches courses such as ASC 101 Communications Studio, ASC 720 Architecture Studio, and AR8103 Studio in Collaborative Practice.
Her research explores urban agriculture's role in sustainable cities, colonial architectural histories, and innovative pedagogical approaches. Notable contributions include the Carrot City initiative, which reimagines urban spaces for food production.
