Jun Liu is a Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Cornell University, holding the Robert J. Appel Professorship in Molecular and Cell Biology. She is affiliated with the Graduate Fields of Genetics, Genomics & Development (GGD) and Biochemistry, Molecular & Cell Biology (BMCB).
Her research focuses on developmental biology, stem cell signaling, and cell fate specification using C. elegans as a model organism. Key areas include BMP signaling, Notch pathway interactions, and mesoderm pattern formation.
Recent publications highlight her lab's work on BMP receptor regulation, tetraspanin function, and transcriptional networks in developmental processes. Her research is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
