Jun Liu, PhD, is a Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis and holds a secondary appointment as an Associate Professor in Cell Biology at the Yale School of Medicine. He leads the Jun Liu Lab, part of Yale Cancer Center and the Yale Microbial Sciences Institute. His research focuses on structural biology and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-ET), particularly in visualizing bacterial structures and motility mechanisms. With over 60 publications in top journals like Nature, Science, and Cell, his work includes high-throughput cryo-ET pipelines to study flagellar motors, host-pathogen interactions, and protein secretion.
