Dr. Julius Bailey is a Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Redlands, specializing in African American religious history, AME Church history, and new religious movements. He earned his B.A. from Occidental College (1993) and M.A./Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2003), where his dissertation focused on domesticity in the AME Church (1865–1900).
