Julisa Patel is a Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, where she serves in the Department of Pediatrics, specializing in Allergy-Immunology and Rheumatology. She is actively engaged in medical education, clinical service, and research focused on pediatric inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
Research Interests: Her work centers on pediatric rheumatology, particularly multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), Kawasaki disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), and complex autoimmune presentations. She investigates real-world treatment outcomes and immune dysregulation in children.
Publication Trends: Her recent scholarly output reflects a strong focus on post-infectious inflammatory syndromes, especially MIS-C and its overlap with other autoimmune conditions. She contributes to both clinical case reporting and registry-based research, emphasizing translational insights into pediatric rheumatic diseases.
