Dionne Adair

Dr. Dionne Adair is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). Her clinical focus includes severe asthma and sickle cell lung pathology. She earned her MD from the University of the West Indies (2011) and holds Georgia medical licensure (2021). Her research explores asthma pathophysiology, sickle cell lung complications, chronic ventilation strategies, and flexible bronchoscopy applications.

Teaching responsibilities include instructing medical students in pediatric pulmonology (PEDS 5022) and general pediatrics (RPED 5002). Recent scholarship addresses IL-6 biomarkers in asthma, DEI in pediatric pulmonary care, and cystic fibrosis outpatient therapies. She serves as Associate Director of the Pediatric CF Center, chairs the Resident Selection Committee, and directs the Pediatric Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Lab. Professional service focuses on clinical quality improvement and workforce diversity initiatives.
