Julio Arauz

Julio Arauz is Associate Professor and Graduate Chair at Ohio University's J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies within the Scripps College of Communication. He holds a PhD in Information Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Telecommunications (Pittsburgh), and a BS in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Ecuador's National Polytechnic School.

Research focuses on wireless systems, cooperative control, and telecommunications pedagogy. Professional experience includes roles at NEC Network Laboratories and IBM. Honors include ACM SIGCOMM Travel Award (2005), Fritz Froechlich Award (2001), and Fulbright Scholarship (1998). Holds patents in WiMAX frame processing and OFDMA systems.
