Juliet Schor is a Professor of Sociology at Boston College, specializing in work, consumption, and environmental sustainability. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and previously taught at Harvard University for 17 years. Her research focuses on consumer culture, sustainable economies, and the four-day workweek trials. She has authored influential books like The Overworked American and The Overspent American, which shaped national debates on work-life balance and consumerism.
