Julie Slater North

Julie Slater North is a Lecturer and PPSC-SSW Coordinator at Cal Poly Humboldt's Department of Social Work. Her professional background includes extensive work with marginalized populations including foster youth, unhoused adolescents, individuals with autism, and survivors of addiction and sex work. She brings practical field experience into her academic instruction, having worked in group homes and social service agencies prior to joining academia.
