Professor Julie Quinlivan is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Health Research (IHR) at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She previously served as Foundation Dean of Health, Head of the School of Medicine (Sydney Campus), Executive Dean of Medicine, and Pro Vice-Chancellor. Currently, she holds roles as Chair of the Clinical Senate of Western Australia (WA Health), Deputy Chair of the West Coast Institute for Training, and medical Member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. She is a practicing senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in both public and private sectors.
Her education includes MBBS, FRANZCOG (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists), and a PhD. Her research focuses on high-risk pregnancy, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, parenting, and clinical infrastructure. She has secured over $35 million in grants for clinical and research projects. Notable contributions include co-authoring over 200 books, chapters, research papers, and conference presentations.
Prof. Quinlivan’s professional network spans multiple institutions across Australia, with affiliations in Sydney, Fremantle, Broome, and online platforms. She actively engages in policy development, clinical governance, and medical education through her advisory roles.
