Professor Amanda Henry is an academic and clinical leader in maternal health at the The George Institute for Global Health, a Professor (Education-Focussed) in the UNSW Medicine and Health School of Clinical Medicine, and an Obstetrician at St George Public Hospital.

Her research bridges hypertensive pregnancy disorders, maternal cardiovascular health, and microbiome studies, with over $33M in grants including NHMRC and MRFF funding. She leads clinical trials like the BP2 Study and Closing Knowledge Gaps after Hypertensive Pregnancy, while co-developing guidelines for the Society of Obstetric Medicine Australia and New Zealand (SOMANZ).
Her supervised research spans 3 PhD students (UNSW/UTS) and up to 5 honours students annually. She chairs the UNSW Master of Women's Health Medicine program and received the Faculty of Medicine and Health Education Innovation Award (2022) for curriculum updates on domestic violence education.
