Julie Marsh is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster's Westminster School of Arts. She is a practice-based researcher and educator specializing in collaborative arts-based projects. Her work integrates experimental filmmaking with documentary approaches to explore place, migration, and cultural representation.
Her research investigates 'site as apparatus,' focusing on material, architectural, and socio-political discourses. Recent projects like Assembly and Moving Pictures engage diaspora communities through film as a tool for self-representation.
Marsh leads the Arts, Communication, and Culture Research Community and co-directs the Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM). She is an active member of HOMELandS (Hub on Migration, Exile, Languages and Spaces).
