David Moore

David Moore is a Principal Lecturer for Photography at the University of Westminster and a member of CREAM (Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media). His academic work is deeply intertwined with his practice as a widely published and exhibited photographer. Moore's research explores expanded documentary modes to observe state and social apparatus through photography, performance, and moving image.

Moore's research interests focus on the agency of photographic subjects within historical and contemporary contexts, and the effect of corporate or political hegemony as expressed in various environments. His practice has evolved to incorporate participatory elements, installation art, and theatrical performance, particularly through his significant 'Lisa and John' project which re-examines his earlier documentary work through collaboration with former subjects.
