Julie Lefebvre serves as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator for the Continuing Care Assistant program at Sainte-Anne University. With over 25 years of clinical nursing experience across Canada, Switzerland, and Germany, she brings extensive intercultural expertise to her academic role. She joined the university in 2023, initially teaching in the Practical Nursing program before transitioning to program coordination.
Her professional focus centers on nursing education, continuing care practices, and intercultural communication in healthcare settings. She actively promotes French language preservation in healthcare and supports Francophone communities across Nova Scotia, leveraging her multilingual abilities (French, English, German) developed during 15 years in Germany. Her work emphasizes practical, up-to-date training materials to prepare students for real-world care challenges.
Beyond academia, Julie volunteers at the German School of Halifax, contributing to cultural and linguistic programming. She integrates her international clinical background into curriculum development, ensuring program relevance while championing linguistic diversity in healthcare education across Atlantic Canada.
